Do you think honesty is really the best policy when it comes to relationships? Is total honesty possible, let alone desirable?
NO and yes. I think honesty is the best thing for anything that's going on in your current relationship, but I think being honest about past relationships can only bring heartache and suspicion (See: Stephen). You never tell your current SO that you're pining for someone else and you'll always love them (even if that's the truth [See: Johnny Depp]) and you NEVER tell your SO if you dated one of your friends. They'll only think that you want to get back with your friend and/or you'll cheat on them with your friend. I'd rather not know about any of my future dates past relationships only because I don't want to constantly compare myself to them. I'll probably not ever ask them about past relationships because it's easier on my brain. Lie to me. Tell me I'm 100% hotter than your last girl even if that's a complete and total farce. Don't tell me that you just got out of a 10 year relationship with a wonderful woman. Tell me you just left a bitch that you never want to see again and you're happy you found me. I want lies! All lies!
