'America's Poll on Homosexual Marriage
'() I oppose legalization of homosexual marriage and "civil unions"
'() I favor legalization of homosexual marriage
'() I favor a "civil union" with the full benefits of marriage except for the name'
"Congress needs to know that "Family" doesn't necessarily have to mean 1 woman, 1 man, 1 or more children.

I urge everyone to vote for either choice 2 or 3 because I think it is very sad that so many people vote against the right for two people in love to be together. I don't care if they're two women or two men, if they're in love they deserve the right be together legally. If you're against calling their union 'marriage' then just vote for the third option. At least give loving people there right to be together without having to go out of their home state to do so.
For all those who wish to know my reasoning... My brother is gay (I found out myself about a year ago and he confessed it to me this passed summer) and, though I never really was against things like this, I now know where I stand on them. I want my brother to be able to be happy with the person he wishes to be with. That means more to me than whether he is with a woman or a man... [/life story]
