My thoughts on the US today ...

American Idiot -- Green Day

Don't wanna be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation that under the new media.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mindfuck America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Convincing them to walk you.

Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along in the age of paranoia.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Convincing them to walk you.

Don't wanna be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information nation of hysteria.
It's going out to idiot America.

Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alien nation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
Convincing them to walk you.

If you haven't seen the video for this song, you must. I've always kinda liked Green Day, but now I know I do like them. I think I'm gonna get this CD. ;)

And NO, I'm not voting today. I'm not voting just to spite all the people who tell me I need to. I have no faith in the American government anymore and voice my opinion in that way. You want me to vote? Give me a reason other than that its my 'duty.' I don't do politics. Now... when it comes to amendments and such, I'll prolly vote for those cause they affect my day-to-day life, but I don't think it will matter.

The USA is fucked up...
